Welcome to week two of our one-by-one journey through the entire Isshu Pokedex. This week, we highlight three evolutionary families who appear early on in the game. They may be brand new, but their kind is ubiquitous – these are the Bidoofs, Sentrets and Rattatas of this generation. But are they just doomed to be HM slaves, or do any of these three have greater potential in their evolved forms? Let’s take a closer look…

What does Heidi Klum and Seal’s baby girl Lou Sulola have to look forward to on her first birthday Saturday? Cupcakes, candles and some heartfelt gifts.

“We’re just hanging out at home for her birthday,” Klum, 37, told PEOPLE at the launch party for her new activewear line, Heidi Klum for New Balance, on Thursday in New York.

“I got balloons and I got cupcakes — she’s going to eat her first Sprinkles cupcake!”

As for the birthday girl’s present? Her mom has decided to make her gift a new family tradition.

“I made her a beautiful necklace,” she said. “It’s the same necklace I made [now 6-year-old] Leni when she [turned] 1. It’s an ‘L’ with blue diamonds. Leni’s is pink, [and] she still wears it. It’s like their 1-year present.”

While baby Lou might be sharing a present with big sister Leni, she’ll also be sharing something else on her special day … her the candles on her birthday cake.

“You don’t know how many times I have to turn the candles on again,” the model said, laughing. “It’s always a fight, they’re all going to help her blow out the candles.”

Even though her siblings — including Henry, 5, and Johan, 3½– may try to steal her candle glory, Klum says they all adore their youngest sister. “They’re always around her,” she said. “She’s like their little princess.”

LOS ANGELES–Last night, Fendi threw a bash to celebrate the opening of their newest Los Angeles boutique in the Beverly Center and we happily joined the party.

The intimate space is sleek and luxurious, with white ribbed walls and amber facades, and it is the first US boutique to have a men’s ready-to-wear and accessories section. With a performance by rock/jazz pianist, Elew, and live DJ, the vibe was energetic and the crowd was eclectic. Throughout the night we spied Dania Ramirez, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne, and Brad Goreski, but sadly no Chloe Sevigny, who was expected to show.

We were mostly distracted by all the shoes and handbags lining the walls—most of which, we were told, were flown in just for the event. And for good reason—we enviously watched as a handful of revelers swap their original party shoes for some newly purchased footwear. But besides all the drool-worthy accessories, the real eye-candy of the night was the wait staff. (Seriously, they must have rounded up a dozen male models to pour champagne.)

At first, the Beverly Center may seem like an unlikely place for the fashion house to open up shop. But after taking into account the successes of other existing luxury brands within the mall like Louis Vuitton and Burberry, it seems like a smart move. Store manager Michael Moss explained that while the move has long been in the works, now is the perfect time for this new location. They are confident that the boutique will attract both their established clientele and a younger, more hip audience.
